Celebrating and Rewarding the Resiliency in the EMCS Graduate(s) chosen!!

The Ed Berlando EMCS Resiliency Scholarship celebrates and rewards the resiliency, will, flexibility and desire, to succeed through many different challenges, of the student(s) that aim to do better for themselves in their post-secondary learning opportunities.

The Scholarship is open to EMCS Graduates, in the year of their graduation. The application process is open until June 5 ,on the year of their graduation.

It is awarded yearly, in the name of Ed Berlando who is a retired teacher from EMCS, who taught there for 28 years. Mr. B always worked with students to promote their drive to learn, despite their personal challenges, helping turn their dreams into reality.

Include your full name, contact information, and attach files as PDFs when possible:

  • Personal statement (500–800 words) or equivilant presentation explaining how you have shown resilience through adversity in your high school career at EMCS

  • Resume

  • Two references (letters or contact details)

  • provide proof that they are in good standing for graduation that year

Once the winning recipient has provided proof of registration of any post-secondary program/1st term tuition payment, the scholarship will be awarded to them.
